How PurpleCam Matching Works
Step-by-step: camera and microphone permissions, starting a video match, Next, and ending a call.
Five simple steps
Allow camera and microphone access
Your browser will ask for permission. Video chat needs both so a live conversation can happen. You can change permissions later in browser settings.
Start matching
Tap Start Chat to enter the matching flow. When a free match is available, you may move into video matching more quickly.
Meet someone new
Once connected, you are in a live video session with one person.
Skip or end anytime
Use Next to continue matching, or leave the call when you are done. Free credits or coins may apply to further matches.
Why camera permission is needed
Camera access lets the other person see you during the call. Without it, a standard video chat session cannot start.
Why microphone permission is needed
Microphone access lets you speak and be heard. If the mic is blocked, the other person may not hear you even if video works.
How to start the next match
During a match call, use Next to move on. After you leave a session, you can return to Start Chat and begin matching again.
How to end a chat
Hang up or leave the call from the in-call controls. Ending a chat stops that session; you can start a new one whenever you are ready.
Do I need an account?
You do not need to fill out a detailed profile to begin. Entering matching may create a lightweight guest session so the app can place you into the matching flow.
Mobile devices
PurpleCam works in modern mobile browsers. Use HTTPS, keep your browser updated, and grant camera/mic access when asked.
