Private conversation
A live conversation with one person — not a public group room. You decide when to start, continue with Next, or hang up.
On PurpleCam, private video chat describes the conversation shape: you and one partner in a live session. It is not a stage where many people watch, and it is not a crowded group room. That one-on-one format is the product default once a match connects.
Private here does not mean we claim end-to-end encryption, total anonymity, or “no logs.” Those are separate technical promises this page does not make. Matches are still live — your partner can see and hear you while you are connected.

Next leaves the current partner and continues matching. Hang up ends that call entirely.
If a profile menu is available, use Report or Block. Leave immediately if anything feels wrong — see safety tips.
Your browser asks for camera and microphone access before a standard video session can work. Allowing access lets the other person see and hear you. A guest session can reduce profile friction; it does not hide your face on the call. Revoke permissions in browser settings whenever you want.
Permission troubleshooting lives in the FAQ. Stranger discovery is covered on random video chat.

On PurpleCam it means a live 1-on-1 conversation — two people on the call, not a public group room or broadcast stage. It does not mean end-to-end encryption or that you are invisible on camera.
This page does not claim end-to-end encryption. PurpleCam connects a live video session between two people in the browser. For accurate privacy policy language, read the Privacy Policy.
No. During a match the other person can see and hear you. A guest session reduces profile setup; it does not hide your camera feed.
A connected match is a two-person session. Matching does not drop extra viewers into that live call as a group audience.
Start when you are ready, use Next to leave a partner, or hang up to end the call. When a user profile is available, you can Report or Block from that menu.
The current web client sends live camera and microphone tracks for the call and does not create or upload a recording of that call in the product UI. It does send operational events such as match and call start or end. See the FAQ for the full current-client description.
