This Privacy Policy explains how PurpleCam handles information when you use the website for guest sessions, matching, live video calls, optional account features, purchases, and support.
1. Scope
PurpleCam is a random 1-on-1 video chat product. This policy covers the website and related matching / call / wallet flows available on PurpleCam. It does not describe unrelated social products such as public feeds, blogs, clubs, or Moments.
2. Information we collect
- Account and session data: guest session identifiers, and if you create or link an account, details such as email, display name, avatar, and login credentials where those options are offered.
- Matching and call activity: match requests, call start/end events, and related usage counters such as remaining free match credits.
- Device and technical data: browser type, device type, IP address, approximate network information, diagnostics, and cookies or similar storage needed to keep you signed in and operate the service.
- Payment data: when you buy coins or other items, billing and transaction details are processed by payment providers. We do not store full card numbers.
- Support and safety reports: messages, screenshots, or details you choose to submit when contacting support or reporting abuse.
3. How we use information
- Operate guest login, matching, live video calls, Next/skip, and hang-up flows
- Enforce free-match limits and process paid match / coin purchases
- Provide report, block, and support handling
- Secure the service, prevent fraud, and meet legal requirements
- Improve reliability and product quality using aggregated usage signals
4. Live video and audio
Camera and microphone access are requested by your browser so a live call can connect. PurpleCam keeps call activity records (for example that a match or call occurred). Whether live video/audio streams themselves are stored by backend systems must be confirmed with platform operations; this page will be updated when that is confirmed. Do not assume that a call is unpublished or invisible to the person you match with — they can see and hear you during the session.
5. Sharing
We may share information with infrastructure and payment providers that help run matching, calls, storage, and purchases; with authorities when required by law; and with reviewers handling abuse reports you submit. We do not sell your personal information.
6. Retention and choices
We retain account, session, purchase, and support records as needed to operate the product and meet legal obligations. You may request access, correction, or deletion where applicable by contacting support through the Contact page.
7. Children
PurpleCam is for adults only. Users under 18 must not use the service.
